While fertility continues to decrease rapidly in Türkiye, there has also been a significant increase in the infertility rate.
While President Erdoğan said, "TÜİK birth statistics are an existential threat, a disaster", new research has revealed the extent of the danger.
The Infertility Fighting Research and Solidarity Association (İMAD-DER) stated that the infertility rate worldwide is 24 percent and noted the following:
While today it is 24 percent worldwide and the infertility rate has reached 20 percent in our country, infertile families have been deprived of state support for years despite this serious health and social problem; drugs excluded from the scope of SGK, disease reports that can be obtained with difficulty and our solution suggestions that are left unanswered make the treatment processes of these families even more difficult.
Our requests to work in cooperation with the relevant institutions and to form a joint commission to solve all these problems have not been met in any way.
We reiterate our call once again: Infertile families are not alone.
